Today at Boyd I did a project about Ukrainian eggs. First, I drew four designs and then I used a kistka, A special tool, to help me get it on the wax, and then I put it in fire and the fire melts the wax. Then I put the wax on my egg and then I put it in dye and it was not white, it was yellow. Then I drew another design on it and then I put it in more dye and it turned into blue. Then I painted more designs on it. Then I dyed more and now we can take the wax off and you can see your design! And I had fun with it. And I might make it again.

The egg I made had a Mayan design on it. A Mayan design is mainly supposed to have a meaning to it. My egg also has two cat faces on it. I chose cat faces because I love kitties! When you're done designing your egg, you can dye it. I chose three different colors for my egg. The colors are: yellow, turquoise, and pink. As Kira said, this activity is fun. And I might also want to try it at home.
